Privacy policy

The full Backlit privacy policy ships with general availability. In the meantime, here's what's true today:

Backlit is in early access. We collect only the information needed to run your glows: your sign-in email (verified via magic link or OIDC), the data you and your users store via window.backlit.data.*, and routine request logs. Per-user data is hashed by email and isolated per glow — two users on the same glow cannot read each other's userdata.

All user data is region-pinned to the region you select for your glow (Australia or US). No cross-region replication.
